Local SEO Tools Terms of Service

The terms for using North SEO's online tools: Review Requests, Local Rank Tracker, Citation Finder, the GBP Audit and the Review Link Generator. Last updated October 16, 2026.

These terms are an agreement between you and North SEO (BC business number 780980439, 408 E 56th Ave, Vancouver, BC V5X 1R4, "we") covering the tools at northseo.ca/tools and the related pages. By creating an account or using a free tool you agree to them. Our Privacy Policy explains how we handle personal information.

1. The service

The tools are provided online as-is. Rankings, review counts, directory listings and audit scores come from third-party data (Google and search providers) and change constantly; we show what the data returned at that moment and do not guarantee accuracy, completeness or any business outcome such as improved rankings, more reviews or more customers.

Each subscription covers one business location. Monthly allowances (for example grid checks, citation searches and review-request emails) are shown in the tool and reset on the first of each month; unused allowance does not carry over.

2. Accounts

You are responsible for your login details and everything done with your account. Accounts set up for you by North SEO as part of a service engagement are managed accounts: we may access them to configure and operate the tools on your behalf. Tell us promptly if you believe your account has been used without permission.

3. Subscriptions and billing

Paid tools are billed monthly in Canadian dollars through Stripe, in advance, on the day you subscribe and on the same day each month after that, until cancelled. Applicable taxes are added where required. Prices are shown before you pay; we may change prices with at least 30 days' notice by email, and the new price applies from your next billing date after the notice period. Failed payments may result in a tool being paused until payment is made.

4. Cancellation and refunds

You can cancel any tool at any time from the Account page or by emailing info@northseo.ca. Cancellation stops future charges; the tool stays active until the end of the period already paid for, and no partial-month refunds are given. If a tool was unavailable for a significant part of a billing period because of a fault on our side, email us within 30 days and we will refund or credit that period. Free trials, where offered, convert to a paid subscription at the end of the trial unless cancelled before then.

5. Acceptable use

You agree to use the tools only for a business you own or are authorised to act for, and in particular to:

  • send review requests only to your own customers who would reasonably expect to hear from you, in line with Canada's anti-spam legislation (CASL) and similar laws where you operate;
  • not offer incentives for reviews, request reviews selectively, or otherwise breach Google's review policies;
  • not use the tools to harass anyone, send bulk unsolicited messages, scrape data, or probe other businesses at a volume unrelated to your own marketing;
  • not attempt to circumvent allowances, rate limits or security measures, or resell access without our written agreement.

We may suspend or close accounts that break these rules, and we will refund any prepaid unused period unless the breach was serious or deliberate.

6. Your data

Customer names, email addresses and phone numbers you add stay yours. We use them only to send the requests you ask us to send and to show you results. Recipients can unsubscribe from a business's messages at any time and we honour that automatically. You can export your data from the tools and ask us to delete your account and its data by email; we delete within 30 days except where we must keep records for tax or legal reasons.

7. Availability and changes

We aim for the tools to be available at all times but do not guarantee it. We may change, add or retire features, and will give reasonable notice of changes that materially reduce a paid tool. Third-party services the tools depend on (Google, search data and email providers, Stripe) are outside our control.

8. Liability

To the extent permitted by law, our total liability to you for anything arising from the tools in any 12-month period is limited to the amount you paid us for the tools in that period, and we are not liable for indirect losses such as lost profits or lost business. Nothing in these terms limits liability that cannot be limited under the laws of British Columbia.

9. General

These terms are governed by the laws of British Columbia and Canada, and the courts of British Columbia have exclusive jurisdiction. If part of these terms is found unenforceable the rest still applies. We may update these terms; the date at the top shows the current version and continued use after a change means you accept it.
