The Client and the Challenge

Egle.ua is a footwear store in Ukraine with a large catalogue and, at the start, a site whose structure and product pages had never been built for search. Footwear e-commerce is filter-driven - brand, size, season, style, gender - and stores lose most of their organic potential in the way filters, product cards and categories are handled. The engagement was a full audit and implementation, the largest project in this group, with a clear commercial goal: more organic traffic and more sales from it.

Our Approach

The SEO audit examined the store end to end - crawl and indexing, structure, product cards, filters, sitemap and robots, schema, internal linking and content - and produced the implementation plan. The site structure was changed so that categories and sub-categories matched how buyers search - by type, gender, season and brand - rather than the store's internal catalogue logic. Product cards were optimized: titles, descriptions, attributes and images written and structured so each product could rank for its specific queries.

What We Did

SEO audit
Structure change
Product and filter optimization
Sitemap and robots
Product/category schema
Internal linking
Category texts

Filters were optimized so that combinations with real search demand became indexable pages with their own content, while the rest were kept out of the index. The sitemap and robots.txt were rebuilt to reflect the new structure and to keep junk out of Google's view. Micro-markup was implemented on product and category pages - Product, Offer, AggregateRating, BreadcrumbList - so prices, availability and ratings appear in results. Interlinking was optimized through breadcrumbs, links within texts and the structure itself, and texts were written for the categories to give them content and keywords.

Everything was implemented, not just recommended: the store's developers worked from the audit while the content and structure changes were rolled out in sequence.

Results

Traffic doubled and sales grew 33% in six months.

Within six months of operation, traffic doubled and sales increased by 33%. The restructured categories and filter pages captured the searches the old catalogue missed, and the optimized product cards and markup improved both rankings and click-through.

Notes From the Project

The filter decision is the one that matters most in footwear. A store can generate millions of filter URLs, and indexing them all buries the store under duplicates; indexing none leaves 'women's winter boots size 38' to competitors. We pulled the search data for every filter dimension, identified the combinations with demand, and made those - and only those - indexable pages with a unique title, description and a short introductory text. The rest received canonical tags to their parent category. That balance is what let the store double its traffic without creating an index Google would have penalized.

What This Means for Your Business

Footwear, apparel and any filter-driven store in Vancouver has the same hidden potential in its filters and product cards. North SEO's e-commerce SEO service does what this project did: restructure, optimize the cards, index the right filters, mark up the pages and write the categories - and measure the result in sales.
