Project Snapshot

Client: Ninebot.ua
Industry: Electric transport (e-commerce)
Market: Ukraine
Service: E-commerce SEO
Year: 2022

The Client and the Challenge

Ninebot.ua sells electric scooters, e-bikes and personal electric transport in Ukraine - a category that exploded in demand and, with it, in competition from marketplaces, brand stores and grey importers. The store's catalogue was organized by product rather than by how people shop, its product pages carried no structured data, texts were thin, the site served only one language in a bilingual market, and it had almost no links. The goal was fast, measurable organic growth on a small budget.

Our Approach

An SEO audit set the baseline. The first structural change was creating website categories that match search behaviour - by vehicle type, by use (commuting, kids, off-road), by range and speed, by brand line - so buyers landing from a category search found a page built for that intent. Microdata was created across products and categories so prices, availability and ratings could appear in search results. Texts were optimized on the priority categories and products with the specifications and comparisons buyers look for.

What We Did

Developer and writer briefs

Link building raised the domain's authority from relevant sources - urban mobility, tech and lifestyle resources. The site was translated into other languages so the store could compete for the search demand in each language rather than half the market. Content management kept the new categories and translated pages consistent and correctly linked. Technical specifications were written for the programmer's edits, and briefs for the texts guided the writers producing the category and product content.

The category restructure and the microdata were prioritized because they change the most pages with the least effort - the fastest route to visible growth on a small budget.

Results

Traffic doubled in two months.

Traffic growth doubled within two months. The category structure captured searches the old catalogue had missed, the microdata improved click-through from results, and the additional language version opened a share of the market the store had not been competing for.

Notes From the Project

The category logic came from the search data. Buyers do not search 'electric scooter model X'; they search 'electric scooter for commuting', 'scooter for a child', 'e-bike with 60 km range', 'off-road scooter'. Each of those phrases became a category with a real page - an introduction that helps the buyer choose, the products that fit, and links to related categories - and the old brand-and-model structure was kept underneath as a secondary navigation. Matching the catalogue to the way people search is the single change that produced most of the doubling.

What This Means for Your Business

E-bike, scooter and outdoor-gear stores in Vancouver sell into the same kind of fast-moving category. North SEO's e-commerce SEO starts with category architecture and structured data because they scale across the whole catalogue - which is how a small budget produces a large change.
