Organic SEO retainer (Foundation to Growth), 3-month foundation then month-to-month • Current North SEO pricing, see Buy Services
An advertising and marketing agency in Ukraine (solve-marketing.agency) had a problem many agencies share: it sold visibility to clients and had very little of its own. Agencies are hard to rank because the competition is other agencies - people who know exactly what they are doing - and because the services are broad. The client wanted a structured two-month programme that would give it a real organic foundation and a content engine it could keep running afterwards.
We treated the agency like any other B2B client and ignored the fact that it worked in marketing. The plan was written out month by month with concrete deliverables so the client could see what was being produced and why.
Month one was research and set-up. We collected ten to fifteen groups of keywords that reflect the agency's actual services and positioning - not 'marketing agency' in isolation but the specific services, industries and problems it sells against. We produced a detailed SEO audit identifying technical, content and structural issues, and turned it into terms of reference for the programmers, designers and project manager with instructions for fixes and optimization. Competitor analysis mapped the strategies, strengths and weaknesses of the agencies it competes with, and their link profiles were analysed to find realistic link sources.
Analytics were checked and corrected so that key metrics were tracked accurately, SEO briefs were written for the content writers, and the first crowd links and article links were ordered within the agreed budget.
Month two shifted to expansion and monitoring. The keyword set was widened and a blog plan drawn up around queries that could bring the right visitors - founders and marketing managers researching a specific problem. We searched for further technical and content improvements and wrote terms of reference for implementing them, tracked positions and competitor movements, monitored site analytics from an SEO perspective, wrote articles for external placement, briefed the writers on new content, and continued ordering crowd and article links against the budget.
After two months the agency had what it lacked at the start: a keyword base tied to its services, a technically cleaner site with a queue of specified fixes, a blog plan its writers could execute, a growing link profile and monitoring in place - an SEO operation rather than a series of one-off tasks.
One decision shaped the keyword research: we deliberately avoided the head terms. 'Marketing agency Ukraine' is owned by the largest players and would have consumed the whole budget for a position on page three. Instead the groups were built around service-plus-industry and service-plus-problem combinations - performance marketing for e-commerce, launch campaigns for startups, lead generation for B2B - where the agency had real case studies to show and where a mid-sized agency can realistically reach the first page. That is also where buyers with a budget and a specific need are searching.
Agencies, consultancies and studios in Vancouver often neglect their own visibility while selling it to others. North SEO runs the same monthly programme for professional-services firms: research, specifications, content briefs, links and monitoring, reported month by month.
