GabinBeauty is a beauty salon in New York. Its owner needed a website that could take bookings and payments online, not just show a phone number - a salon's site earns its keep by filling the calendar without staff on the phone. The project also had to accommodate rounds of client edits as the owner refined the services and the look.
The technical requirement - a booking system integrated with online payment - is where small salon sites usually go wrong, either by bolting on a widget that fights the design or by launching without payment and losing no-shows.
We wrote a technical specification that described in detail the requirements for the booking and payment system, the functionality, the design, the page structure and other details, so the integration was planned before anything was built. The site was then laid out in Elementor, integrating the booking system and payment options into the design: sections for each service category, a booking calendar placed where a visitor expects it, and the widgets the salon needed.
Design edits were made according to the client's requirements, particularly in the booking and payment sections where the flow had to feel simple. Content covered the booking process, the list of services, descriptions of procedures and of the specialists, and clear instructions on how to reserve and pay. The booking system was connected so customers can choose a service and a convenient time, and online payment was configured through payment systems so appointments are secured at the moment of booking.
All of the client's edits - design, text and functionality - were incorporated in review rounds, and the finished site was transferred to hosting and configured for publication.
The salon launched with a site that is presentable and, more importantly, functional: customers book and pay online, the calendar fills without phone tag, and the owner can update services herself. It is the base that a later Google Business Profile campaign for the same market built on.
Booking integration on a small salon site involves decisions that sound trivial and are not: whether every service is bookable online or only some, how far ahead clients can book, whether a deposit is taken and how much, what happens when a specialist is unavailable, and how confirmations and reminders reach the client. Each was settled with the owner before the system was configured, because a booking tool that fights the way the salon actually works gets abandoned within a month. The result is a calendar the salon actually uses.
Salons, clinics and studios in Vancouver need exactly this: a site that books. North SEO builds salon websites with integrated booking and payment, then connects them to a Google Business Profile so the local searches turn into appointments.
